Another delightful stay at Karawanken Lodge! The cozy rooms were recently renovated, offering a modern design and a comfortable night's sleep with a view of the majestic mountains from the balcony. The hostess's warm welcome and helpful nature truly made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. We appreciated the clear instructions left for our late check-in and her attentiveness throughout our stay. The breakfast was a highlight, delicious and plentiful - a perfect start to our days of exploring the beautiful forest trails and engaging in outdoor activities like running, tracking, and cycling.The lodge's restaurant, although we did not have the chance to try it this time, promises a delicious culinary experience that I'm eager to return for. The inviting atmosphere and the owners' passion for local produce and events truly added an authentic touch to our stay. The location, not far from the motorway yet nestled in a serene forest setting, was ideal for unwinding and enjoying the crisp, fresh air. The surroundings, including a playground and trampoline for the kids, made it a family-friendly destination as well.With amenities like free WiFi, a shared lounge, and a garden, Karawanken Lodge catered to all our needs. The opportunity to engage in activities like table tennis and darts added a fun element to our stay. The option for bike hire allowed us to explore the area freely, taking in the picturesque views and the tranquility of the surroundings. A charming Austrian lodge that exceeded our expectations, offering a genuine taste of the country's beauty and hospitality.
